Top 10 Favorite Gluten-Free Finds at Natural Products Expo West 2025

That’s a wrap on Expo West 2025! It was an incredible week at the show seeing so many friends and familiar faces and meeting new people and new brands and trying new products. There’s a lot of new innovations this year and also a lot of people doing the same thing. Kinda like when keto was trendy. There’s also one trend that I didn’t see much of that I thought would be big at the show… more on that to come. And still so much plant based but done improperly. I personally am not plant based. We eat meat and eggs and some cheese but why does so much of the plant based stuff have to contain seed oils and sugars and even food dyes?

This year I was honored and had the privilege of being one of the official Expo West Ambassadors for the show. They handpicked five of us to represent the show and I’m so grateful that I got to be part of the team. Here's a photo from our Ambassador dinner with a few of the lovely people from the PR team. If you missed my Expo West 2025 coverage, check out my instagram highlights!

First a few trends… protein everywhere. Like literally everywhere. Everyone had something protein related it seemed like - which is fine because protein is great! But this year it was protein everything. Not just protein everything but but whey protein. Whey protein is being used by everyone and their mother at the moment. (I personally don’t consume whey). Another trend and staying on topic was clear protein. Clear protein is a type of protein powder that dissolves transparently in water (or comes pre-made) creating a light, juice-like drink instead of a milky shake. It’s typically made from hydrolyzed whey protein offering a refreshing alternative for those looking to increase protein intake without the heaviness of traditional powders. I love this in theory and I even tasted one just to see what it tasted like and I guess it was good but I just haven’t done well with whey in the past. Another trend I saw was sparkling waters and mocktail style drinks. Lots of them.

Here’s what I didn’t see that I really thought I would see this year at Expo West… I really truly thought that I would see a huge lean on “NO SEED OILS” and there were some booths that had signs or banners for sure but it didn’t seem as imperative as I thought it would have been. It’s trendy in a good way because people are waking up to how horrible seed oils really are. I guess we will see if more people jump on the no seed oil train next year. Thankfully there are a lot of seed oil educated people at the show who have dropped their seed oils in place of avocado or olive oils or even tallow which is great. We need more brands to swap to the no seed oil side.

One of the hardest things for me is to narrow down a top 10 list to share with you. Some years it’s hard for me to find 10 things and other years I have to narrow down and put some brands on the cutting room floor which sucks I still try to make it a point to share those Brands in my stories and on social media because they do deserve attention even if they don’t make the top 10 list.

One more thing before the list... I just have to shout out all the amazing people at the show who were just so great to our son. He's 2.5 going on 6 it seems like and he did all 4 days at the show. He loved going to each booth, trying foods, and going back to the Lemon Perfect booth over and over for drinks. Thank you to everyone who gave him a sticker, a sample, a bag, a pin, a toy, a stuffed lemur (thanks Beyond Good) a stress ball, a high five, knuckes, or even just attention. YOU MADE HIS DAY (and mine, too) I love that he gets to be part of Expo West and see his mama in action!

Okay. Top 10. As you know, there is no order for this list. It’s all done at random… and sometimes in the order in which I found them at the show.

Wild West Chocolate - organic, gluten-free, refined sugar free and vegan

This chocolate is absolutely delicious. I met BJ, the founder and loved talking to her about her incredible line of chocolates. They are all sweetened with only organic fruit, and not just fruit juices or fruit sugars but the whole fruit, fiber and all which makes it lower glycemic as well. I love that they say that their chocolate is done the “Wild West Way” - Sweetened only with Organic Fruit. No Refined Sugar. No Cane Sugar. No Sugar Alcohols. No Added Sugar. Also with NO GMOs, NO Emulsifiers, NO Soy Lecithin, NO Gluten, NO Refined Sugar, NO Cane Sugar, and NO Sugar Alcohol.

You can mosey on down to their general store (on their website) to order or use their store locator to see where it’s available near you. I loved every bite of chocolate that I tasted. I can’t wait for you to try it too!

Wella Crispy Treat - organic, gluten-free, vegan

Move over rice krispee treats because Wella has a new bar in town and they are flavorful, contain a good amount of fiber and whole grains and even have the same texture as the beloved marshmallow cereal snacks we grew up with but without all the crappy ingredients. Wella’s new Crispy Treat line is really great and the flavors are so bright and beautiful. With Ube Bliss, Golden Churro and Honey Matcha they really nailed each flavor and stepped outside the vanilla, chocolate and berry flavors. You can find them in the refrigerator section and specifically the Ube Bliss at Whole Foods soon.

BTR Nation Coffee Cashew Crunch Protein+ Nut Butter Bar - gluten-free, vegan, low sugar, refined sugar free

I’ve loved BTR Bars forever and their new Protein+ line has been a game changer. I love the macros and how filling they are and the taste, too. They have 2 new flavors coming out and I got to try one of them. The new Coffee Cashew Crunch is the perfect flavor and has a good amount of coffee in it too where it’s not just a hint but the actual right amount. I love that they have 0g added sugar, NO sugar alcohols, NO stevia, NO allulose, NO seed oils, NO "flavorings", NOTHING ARTIFICIAL, ever.

Brami Lupini Beans Garlic & Rosemary - gluten-free, vegan

I have no clue why I have waited so long to try Brami lupini beans. Wow, I’m so impressed. They are a good protein, fiber-rich snack that is naturally low in net carbs. They come pre-marinated in various flavors, making them a convenient and clean alternative to processed snacks. Unlike traditional lupini beans, Brami’s are ready to eat without the need for extensive soaking or cooking. They don’t contain any artificial ingredients, seed oils, or common allergens and I love that you can enjoy them straight from the pouch, add them to salads, or blend them into dips for extra nutrition. I loved the garlic rosemary!

Sunnie Simply Sweet Smore Snack - gluten-free, dairy-free, refined sugar free

WOW WOW WOW. I’m truly blown away by Sunnie. Everything they made and everything they do really is golden but holy Toledo, batman. Oh. My. Lanta! We finally have some marshmallow fluff that doesn’t contain cane sugar. It’s incredible. And the marshmallow with their crackers and their cacao is just a match made in snack heaven. I LOVE how they are transforming snacks and making clean, healthier options out there for kiddos! They are bringing all the nostalgia but leaving the yucky ingredients back in the 90s!

Check their website store locator for more. This wont be available until July! Stay tuned. You can order online and use code KrystensKitchen at checkout.

Roots Tots - Organic, vegan, gluten-free, seed oil-free

Roots has done it! There are so many tater tots on the market and they allll contain seed oils… until now. Roots has given us the gift of tater tots without seed oils and with just two ingredients. Potatoes and avocado oil or olive oil. That’s all, folks! They really taste delicious and would be so great with chili, dipped in ketchup or whatever you heart desires. Their entire line of potato-y things are seed-oil free and they are changing the potato game one tot at a time. They have other fries both sweet potato and russet, straight and crinkle as well as sweet potato toast and little sweet potato croutons, too. The tots are coming soon so keep checking their website and social media.

Green Girl Bakeshop Chocolate Covered Banana Gelato - organic, vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, grain-free, soy-free, paleo, refined sugar-free, seed oil free

I actually got to try this a few weeks ago and fell in love at first bite. I have LOVED this company for years now and love the founder, Lisa. She sent me as sneak peek back in January and it was incredible. To be honest, I almost didn’t include it in my list because it wasn’t new to me (whoops!) but my hubby reminded me that it would have been new to me at the show had I not gotten a sneaky sneak taste before the tradeshow and here we are. I can’t recommend this incredible line of gelato enough. Amazing, minimal ingredients and they all taste amazing. This new flavor might be my favorite of them all.

Dufour Gluten-Gree Puff Pastry - gluten-free, nonGMO

I still can’t believe this is real life! I can’t wait to buy this and make some homemade spanakopita with it! I found them the last day of the show. I saw some friends post about them the day before and knew I had to go and try it for myself—they were right. It’s delicious. You would never in a million years know it’s gluten-free! When you have to avoid certain foods due to food allergies or special dietary needs you can feel a sense of loss of culture because food can be a huge part of your culture. Thanks to Dufour for making a pretty good ingredient puff pastry for us, now we can bring in more of my Greek culture to our dinner table and our kitchen.

Peppertux Pistachio Coffee - gluten-free, vegan, refined sugar free, caffeine-free

Another last minute, last day at the show find for me. I couldn’t believe how good it tasted. With just pistachios, coconut milk powder and monk fruit for the ingredients, this is not coffee but a coffee alternative. My toddler even liked it, too and wanted more. It’s really creamy and honestly very comforting. Think of like a hot chocolate but instead of chocolate, it’s creamy pistachio. It’s so new, it’s still on preorder and will ship March 20.

Primal Kitchen Foods No Dairy Sundried-Tomato Sauce - gluten-free, paleo, keto, whole 30, vegan

This sauce was inspired by the viral Marry Me Chicken recipe. It’s a rich, decadent pasta sauce which marries the taste of organic California-grown sundried tomatoes with a vibrant medley of garlic and herbs. With real ingredients and a farm-fresh flavor, it’s the perfect partner for noodles, shrimp, chicken, or veggies or even with bread dipped right into it, which is how we tried it at the show. I love everything Primal Kitchen Foods does and this just goes on their long list of yummy products that we will now be buying for our family.

Some lenders specialize in home equity loans for people with less-than-perfect https://www.360lending.ca/ credit. In Ontario, private lenders often offer flexible qualification criteria, though the interest rates may be slightly higher to account for the added risk.
