The Best Gluten Free Breads: Paleo, Keto, Vegan & Delish!

Let’s TOAST to some of the best gluten free breads out there. (See what I did there? Toast -- get it?) There really are a ton of bread options on the market. You can now get gluten free bread pretty much everywhere you go; most restaurants, hotels and theme parks are accommodating, too, which is super neat! (Finally!)

While there are many to choose from, I wanted to share a few of my favorites with you that are staples in our house. I have tried so many over the years and there are a bunch of great brands but there are some that stick out. Keep in mind that most gluten free breads taste much better when toasted or grilled. I like to make sure they are extra toasty -- just my personal preference.

Everything listed here is all gluten free and then fit under different categories like paleo, nut free, allergy friendly and keto, too. There’s something for everyone in this list.

I made some delicious sweet and savory toast:

  • Cashew Butter + Sprinkles

  • Avocado + cucumber, tomato, radish & real salt

  • Lox + dairy free cream cheese

  • Almond Butter + Mashed Raspberries

PRO TIP: With all the options below (except for the last one, since it comes pre-sliced), it’s best to get your bread, slice it and then freeze it. If you want to put a piece of parchment in between each slice that works great too!

IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER (I love them all equally)

Below I’ll even list a few other breads that I love, too.

AWG Bakery

organic, nonGMO, paleo, yeast free, vegan, gluten free, grain free, soy free, peanut free, cane sugar free (made in a peanut free and gluten free facility)

I found this bread via Instagram about 6 months ago. I sent my hubby out to pick some up locally (you can order and pick up, and they also ship). I was excited about their flavors! I have only tried the Rosemary and Original, but they also have a CinnaSpice and Everything (brand new). The rosemary might be my favorite, because I really love all things rosemary — you can make a delicious Lemon Rosemary French Toast with it! See recipe.

Their ingredients are so great, and everything is handmade into a medium sized loaf.

Check out their bread here, and you can use code KRYSTENSKITCHEN at checkout! They ship!

BreadSRSLY

gluten free, vegan, yeast free, egg free, wheat free, dairy free, peanut free, tree nut free, soy free, potato free, sesame free, cane sugar free, chickpea free, kosher. (Made in a gluten free, top 8 allergen-free and sesame free facility)

I’ve been in love with this San Francisco sourdough bread company for a few years now. I love how allergen friendly it is, the taste and texture and the flavors that they have. I love the people at BreadSRSLY and their love for making safe sourdough for so many people!

Their Sweet Onion is my absolute favorite and, really, while you can’t go wrong with any of them, I do love this one in particular for stuffing during the holidays — or whenever I want stuffing. Honestly this bread is amazing, and I can’t recommend it enough. You could even make a SAVORY French Toast with it, see recipe!

You can find their bread in some stores around the country, but you can also order it online and have it shipped right to your door.

PRO TIP: The best way to cut this bread is to use a straight knife (not a bread knife) — trust me! It works really great, and the best thing about it is that you can control how thick or how thin you’d like each slice to be. It’s SRSLY amazing!

Check out their bread here, and you can use code KRYSTENSKITCHEN at checkout! They ship!

Real Phat Foods

gluten free, grain free, paleo, soy free dairy free, keto, sugar free, yeast free, nonGMO, soy free, low carb. (not made in a dedicated facility)

I super duper love this brand and everything they make, but I also really love the founder, Tasha! She’s a total gem and truly has a passion for making products with clean ingredients that taste really delicious.

I truly love this bread. It comes in a big loaf that you can slice and use for toast, grilled cheeses, French toast or anything else. It has a slightly sweet flavor from the coconut, BUT it’s not overpowering and is really good for all savory things, too.

The ingredients are perfect for anyone on the keto diet, paleo diet and if you eat low carb or gluten free. But just a warning, while they do take proper precautions for cleaning their space and they work hard to prevent cross contamination, it’s just simply not a dedicated gluten free facility at the moment.

Soozys Grain Free

grain free, paleo, gluten free, dairy free, soy free, peanut free, glyphosate free, nonGMO, refined sugar free, gum free, low carb

This bread is BRAND NEW! It just launched in Whole Foods, and I have to say I am always a little skeptical with new breads (as I was with all the above), but it was love at first bite.

There are two flavors: Original and Superseed. While I do like both, I think I gravitate towards the Superseed a little more. It’s nutty and filling with great texture.

I love this brand and everything they make (donuts, muffins and cookies), and I love this new edition to their grain free product family. I also really enjoy seeing their team eat each of the food expos. It’s evident that they love what they do and love feeding everyone their tasty products.

OTHER BREADS WE LOVE:

MISFITS BAKEHOUSE

I was just introduced to this brand a few days ago, and they have an incredible lineup of products. They make a ton of different breads to choose from: bagels, rolls, baguettes, sandwhich bread, pita bread and more. I have only tried their rolls, and I truly love them—WOW!

Mina has such an amazing story (read it here), and he is so passionate about what he creates. He has a long list of delicious breads and even baked goods (including the greatest cookies, brownies, cinnamon rolls and even PALEO/KETO BAKLAVA!! — you should definitely check that out).

Check out their bread & goodies, here — you can use code KRYSTEN at checkout for pickup, delivery & they ship! See nutritional info here.

Simple Mills Artisan Bread Mix

I really don’t have much to say about this bread mix except that it’s a favorite of ours, and I use it for everything. I’ve written a ton of blogs about it and you can see some recipes and more details below:
