Cashew Collagen Bites with Ashwaganda
Raw cookies for breakfast? Um, YES!
These raw cashew collagen bites are definitely a must-have with a latte - either matcha or espresso - to complete the morning routine. I had to add some amazing Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides to this recipe, not only because they have collagen, which has so many amazing benefits, but they also have ashwaganda! Have you heard of ashwaganda before?
Ashwaganda is an herb that contains many healing properties. It helps the immune system, supports emotional balance and brain function, aids in strength and reduces the effects of mental, emotional and physical stress.
Ashwaganda is also known as "Indian Ginseng" and has also shown the ability to fight against cancer, diabetes, reduce inflammation, arthritis, asthma, and rheumatism. You can read more about ashwaganda, here. I use Sun Potion's organic ashwaganda, and I add it to my smoothies every single day.
I also like to buy it from Thrive Market because it's about $10 less than buying it at the grocery store. You can also save 15% on your first order by clicking, here. This $27.99 jar of powerful ashwaganda has 55 servings in it!
I decided to make these yummy raw cashew collagen bites with the pulp from my cashew milk, because I did not want to waste any bit of it. Every time I make cashew milk, I make these yummy raw bites that satisfy a sweet tooth or for a light snack that is filled with fiber and healthy fats to keep you satisfied. Cashew milk is super easy to make and will make any smoothie, latte or hot chocolate much creamier!
If you don't love eating a big, hearty breakfast, then these would be good to pair with your morning coffee, tea, or protein shake.
The word “adaptogens” is used to describe an increasingly popular class of plants that, as the name suggests, help you adapt to physical or mental stress. You can learn more about 6 popular adaptogens in a post from Delicious Living.
