Decadent Chocolate Pudding
This is my very first recipe: Chocolate Decadent Pudding! It is incredibly easy to make, tastes absolutely rich, creamy and it is most definitely hubby approved! I have been making this dessert for about 2 years now and it is just a delicious every single time.
There are only 4 ingredients in this tasty treat: unsweetened cocoa powder, ripe avocados, maple syrup (or honey) and flax milk (or dairy free milk of choice).
I 100% promise you that you will not taste any avocado and that no one will know that this pudding is made from avocados. Avocados are very nutritious! They contain over 20 different vitamins and minerals and 15 grams of health fats. They are low in carbs and free of cholesterol and sodium. Avocados contain lots of potassium and fiber and are not just for making guacamole.
Consider adding avocados to your morning smoothies. You can mash them and freeze the mashed avocados into a silicone ice cube tray. Just pop out the avocado cubes into your morning smoothies for a healthy fat! It will also make your smoothie extra creamy.
__________
INGREDIENTS
1 avocado (ripe)
2 TB dairy free milk (or almond or coconut milk)
3 TB Unsweetened Cocoa
2 TB Maple Syrup (or Honey)
Directions:
Blend all ingredients in food processor until creamy & smooth. Taste it to check desired sweetness, and add more or less cocoa and/or maple syrup to your liking.
Put in the fridge in an airtight container for at least 1 hour before eating (if you can help it). Putting it in the fridge will allow the pudding to firm up.
You can easily double or triple this recipe. Eat within a day or two, keep in refrigerator.
Kids of all ages love this Chocolate Pudding! If you make this recipe, I'd love to hear your thoughts and see your pics! Post to any social media site using the hashtag #KrystensKitchen so I can see your results. Thank you!
